Design Open Season 7 DICE 2022 Session 4 and Bangalore Design Festival presents the Debug Bengaluru Open Meetup.
An open call to sponsors, partners and volunteers to Debug Bengaluru together.
Debug Bengaluru is a public, private, people partnership that aims to make the life of every Bangalorean better, by making sense of Bangalore’s most complex
challenges.
We have identified 4 bugs or challenges and have created 4 teams/squads (groups of volunteers to work on creating solutions/ prototypes) for these 4 challenges.
- Traffic Troubles
- Waste Disasters
- Water Woes
- Nature Crisis

DARE (Design – Act- Re-Act) is the design driven intervention approach we will
use to solve these challenges and come up with scalable solutions/prototypes.
Solutions that are low investment and high in impact, solutions that solve
industrial issues via implementation of strategic frameworks.
On December 10, 2022, we inaugurated Debug Bengaluru with Alok Nandi,
partner from Spread Europe and a workshop at Spread Design Barn with a
number of interested volunteers signing up for the project.
SPREAD Design & Innovation
Spread Design & Innovation is an idea accelerator and learning enabler, practicing
design thinking, working closely with industry and governments on
transformational projects.
Design Barn by Spread is India’s first independent design center, multidisciplinary
creative firm, open incubator and the city lab for Debug Bengaluru.
Leaders heading our DARE projects are from multi-disciplinary backgrounds like
Design Management, Architecture, Engineering, Front End Development, Design
Strategy, Microbiology and much more.
Be our private sponsor:
- Once onboard as a sponsor we will transform this into a DARE fellowship and name it after your organization title. Eg. XYZ Debug Bengaluru DARE Fellowship.
- The certificates for completion of prototypes will be given by you in association with Spread
- Opportunity to showcase all 4 prototypes to the government of Karnataka
- Associate your name in the DARE initiatives in collaboration with Spread and govt partners
- Opportunity to prepare a DARE squad/ team from your organization as part of CSR or intrapreneurial KRAs and get them trained in Design Sense + DARE + DICE (Design, Innovation, Culture/Creativity, Entrepreneurship) where they can flip problems into opportunities.
